Kashmir is one of the most thrilling travel destinations in India. Because of its natural beauty and mesmerizing environment every year a huge amount of people visit this heavenly place. Here people can witness various travel attractions like Dal Lake, Gulmarg, Srinagar, the Mughal garden, the rare wildlife, and many other places. Also, every year thousands of people come to visit the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi and Amar Nath.

 So we can easily understand that a massive part of the state’s economy depends on tourism. There are also some unique attractions in several places like Gulmarg they have the finest ski resort in India and also the highest green golf course in the world. Also, the hand-made shawls and the apple orchards attract people differently.


There are several famous places in Kashmir. Every place contains its unique attractions for the visitors. 

  • DAL LAKE – Dal lake is one of the most exhilarating experiences in Kashmir to explore. Visitors can start by taking a shikhara ride on this gorgeous lake, set against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks of mountains. They can also visit India’s only floating post office and have the adventure of staying overnight on a houseboat. 
  • WULER LAKE- India’s largest freshwater lake is the Wular lake. It is great for multiple water adventure rides and sports to get the best adrenaline rush.
  • SRINAGAR – The summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir is Srinagar. In this place, people can visit the magnificent Mughal Gardens, the Hazzratabal Mosque, the Jama Masjid, and the powerful Jhelum River. A trip to the Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden would also be a delightful addition to the itinerary, especially in Aprile, when the Tulip Festival has celebrated.
  • GULMARG – Gulmarg is another magnificent place in Kashmir which represent the Karizma of the place. People can visit flower gardens and cable cars in which they can get up to higher levels of the valley and can witness some magnificent snow-covered mountains. 
  • KISHTWAR NATIONAL PARK – For wildlife lovers, this place is a great stop. Snow leopards, Himalayan black bears, red foxes, and Griffon vultures are some of the rare species that can be spotted hear.
  • HILL STATIONS – Kashmir has many incredibly gorgeous hill stations like Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Pahalgam, Anantnag, and Baramulla that offer a simple way of life and jaw-dropping Himalayan vistas.
  • TRANSPORTATION: There are various ways to appear in Kashmir. There are two commercial airports in Kashmir. Also, there are multiple trains and buses which can provide optional ways to reach the required destination. Visitors can roam easily in local areas by the auto-rickshaw, taxis, and other local transport. 

Tourism is very important and especially effective for the economical affairs of Kashmir. A huge part of the economy of this state is dependent on the progress of tourism. To get most of the economical profit they keep their cultural assets and heritage maintained in a very caring way. But after maintaining the whole process certain things are still responsible to cause some huge losses or negative outcomes for the system of tourism in Kashmir. In most cases, the reasons are either natural or political. 

  • In the category of natural troubles, various situations are used to cause calamity in this kind of mountain area like Kashmir. Monsoon season the landslides and rock blockages in multiple ways are very normal and dangerously affect the experiences of the tourists. Also, snow storms in the winter season cause disturbance during the travel season. The summer season is quite a smooth time to visit the place. 
  • After the natural troubles there is a serious and kind of annoying issue which is causing massive disadvantages in the multiple criteria of this state’s economy, and also with the peoples of this area and the travelers as well. The political tension in this place is one of the biggest national issues in India. Because of these riots, and multiple violent incidents a huge amount of travelers don’t prefer to visit these places on their trips. This reason is also a big issue causing decrement in the profits of the tourism in this state.  


After all of these negative aspects still visiting Kashmir can probably be one of the most magnificent travel experiences that people can ever experience in their lifetime. Tourism in this state is very well built and well connected with every corner of our country. No matter when visitors want to come to Kashmir, they can easily visit the place without any trouble. So on the parameters of transportation, hotels or resorts, adventure, food, culture, people, and places, Kashmir has great tourism and it’s better than believing any statement people should go for it and gain their own experience. Genuinely they will love those days of spending their time in Kashmir.
