Reddit Residency

Reddit residency programs are not just for doctors who want to work in a big city. If you’re a student interested in a residency, you can use an online residency spreadsheet to determine what’s available. This tool can help you figure out which programs have available residency positions and what the requirements are.

Rules

The Residency subreddit is a place for current residents to discuss their experiences. It is not for non-residents to post questions or advice about residency programs. For such questions, post them in the r/medical school subreddit instead. Here, you can find answers to questions about medical residency programs.

Post flair required

New users must use “flair” when posting new topics on reddit. This includes putting a word in the title of the post. Failing to do so can result in your post being deleted or re-posted. Fortunately, there are several options to choose from.

The Create Post menu allows you to add a title, body text, and flair. Some subreddits automatically add flair, while others require manual editing. Once you have the text, you can click the Apply button to apply it to your post. You can also remove flair if you don’t want it on your post.

Unfilled residency positions 2020 Reddit

There are still a few open residency spots left for 2020, but there’s one way to increase your odds of getting in. Apply to the Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program (SOAP) during the Main Residency Match. You’ll get an email letting you know if you qualify for this program. This program is held from March 14-17, 2022, with an additional round in 2021.

Residency positions are typically unfilled for several reasons. Sometimes, a resident resigns, leaves the program, or is terminated. Other times, the program cannot fill the spot because of visa or medical issues. Other times, the program has an open spot that may be a great fit for another person.
